Data protection applies to personal data as defined by the GDPR, i.e. all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
In order to sign up for and subsequently use Tofu or get a place on the waitlist, you will need to signup for an account at Myzel.io. To ensure that you can login, the following personal data will be stored:
We process this data as part of the contract initiation process based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b) GDPR.
In addition to the aforementioned data, we process further (usage-)data relevant for keeping our services healthy and for billing of our service, such as account ID, time of purchases, billing periods, successful payment processing, log-ins, number of Tofu jobs, amount of processed characters and documents. The processing and storage of the aforementioned data is necessary for the conclusion of the contract as well as its performance and is therefore justified according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b) GDPR. We store the data for the duration of the contract term and subsequently, if applicable, for the duration of statutory retention periods, insofar as these prescribe the retention for the respective types of data. We will delete your account if you wish to do so after cancelling your subscription and ask you to send an email to info@myzel.io or contact the beforementioned physical address by post. Otherwise, we will maintain your account so that it can be reactivated for you in the event of a renewed subscription without you having to register again. This is in accordance with our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR.
We process the URL's and training data that you submit to the Tofu Training Area in order to fulfill the internet researches that you use Tofu for. The processing is therefore justified by Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b) GDPR. Your URL's, Job Details entered into the Tofu Training Area as well as the results generated by Tofu in the context of the contractual agreement will be stored permanently until you manually delete them in your Tofu Dashboard or request a data deletion by contacting the data controller mentioned above.
You may request a deletion of the data we are storing on your account by contacting the data controller mentioned above. Fulfillment of deletion request is happening within 7 business days after receiving your request but may take up to 30 days in certain situations.
